Secure Online Drop-offs

With just your name, social security number, and email we can set you up with our digital drop-off service! Current clients can simply email to request the service, while we recommend that new clients call us to get set up.


In response to the COVID-19 outbreak, we have decided to offer a secure online drop-off service through SecureFilePro, an online service that allows Pelican to easily exchange documents with our clients safely and securely. With a simple mobile interface, your files can be uploaded from your cellphone or computer. We safely store your tax documents in the portal, where you can access them at any time.

How does it work?

We only need your name, email address, phone number, and your social security number to get you started. You will receive an email invitation to access your account where you can log in create a password. The simply-designed home page makes it easy to upload your documents and to see what Pelican has uploaded for you. Once you upload your documents, we will begin working on your return, and when we finish we'll call you to let you know the results. Your documents will remain in the portal for three years, at which point they will be deleted.




Who should use it?

You might consider using our online drop-off system if any of the following applies to you:

  • You are committed to the security of your personal data.

  • You have taken the signature pages home for your spouse to sign and don't want to drive back out to our office again.

  • You have moved away but still wish to remain a loyal Pelican client.

  • You are sick and want to have your taxes done while you are eating soup on the couch.

  • You don't like people but want your taxes done professionally.

  • You want to spend more time with your dog.

  • You would rather play videogames than stare at a tax preparer.



Who shouldn't use it?

You should schedule a desk appointment if...

  • You have a ton of documents but no scanner, and taking pictures of a ton of documents sounds like a nightmare.

  • You feel more comfortable with a traditional appointment.

  • You like the blue folders we hand out.

  • You think Kenny is a great conversation partner.

  • You are a great conversation partner!

  • You want a donut.
